2010 Yamaha YZ125

2010 Yamaha YZ125 is the latest in the line. This is a bike for the amateurs turning serious. The YZ features a compact and light engine, aluminum handlebar and a better seat grip. All these enable the rider to have a better ride quality and experience. After all motocross is a hard sport in itself thus the smoother you can make it, better would it be for the rider. The needs of a budding rider have been considered while designing the bike, like long lasting and comfortable grips on the handle.

Power plant

The 2010 Yamaha YZ125 is powered by a characteristic Yamaha 124cc two stroke engine. The bike is lighter overall thus even this light and small engine produces better power to weight ratio. The power value system ensured great power all across the revolution range, enabling the rider with ample power at all times, to recover or to boost. This is assisted with new Mikuni carburetor. The digital CDI ignition monitors the engine and thus delivers efficient sparking, most needed when accelerating the most. The engine is liquid cooled with a larger radiator. The multiple clutch features on the fly adjustability for the best out of the ride.

Chassis and suspension

2010 Yamaha YZ125 has new aluminum frame and swing arm. These tows combine to get the bike one of the best handling. The weight has been minimized through the wave style disks on both the wheels and the 250F style calipers on the front one. The rear shock has a titanium spring with over a foot of movement. This large movement allows the best shock absorption to this bike. The rear shock also has settings for high and low speed damping to maximize the ride comfort on different ride conditions. Motocross is a hard sport still it is played for excitement and thus ride comfort is as important as the looks and the run.

The bike has been shaved off some weight by using light materials like aluminum and titanium which helps in the far better performance of the 2010 Yamaha YZ125 as compared to its competitors.
